Contracts

Brings together the research, finances, and associated terms and conditions.

A contract is a legal instrument that is used to reflect a relationship between two or more parties.  ORA assists with contracts where the principal purpose of the transaction is to support research in areas of scientific interest, to further scientific knowledge, or to achieve a specific research goal.  Our contracting team is here to create, review, negotiate and execute contracts and subawards. We are also available to assist with any questions or concerns.

Below are a few Pre-Award Forms related to contracting/subcontracting.

This page contains a list of the various types of contracts that our contracting team is responsible for reviewing/negotiating on behalf of the University of Miami.

When UM anticipates subcontracting to another entity, the following processes apply to our Principal Investigators/Departmental Personnel.

Please follow the Application Deadline Policy to ensure all UM sponsored applications are submitted, reviewed and approved by ORA prior to submission to our sponsors in accordance with 2 CFR 200, Federal and State regulations, as well as sponsor terms and conditions. For questions regarding Submitting to ORA, please reach out to your ORA Contact Person.
