Effort reporting is a process mandated by the federal government to verify that direct labor charges to, or cost shared on, sponsored projects are accurate, timely, and reflect the actual level of work performed. Regulatory & Compliance Services is part of Research Administration and provides implementation, maintenance and assessment of all essential research compliance activities.

Foreign Engagement Guidelines

The Guidelines for Foreign Entity Relationships will help to clarify UM's position on various activities relating to foreign entities. 

It is important to take the necessary steps to ensure expenditure compliance in regards to policies and procedures set forth by the University.

The University of Miami encourages international collaboration, and recognizes it is important for investigators to be transparent about their foreign relationships and activities.
