Contracts

Brings together the research, finances, and associated terms and conditions.

A contract is a legal instrument that is used to reflect a relationship between two or more parties.  ORA assists with contracts where the principal purpose of the transaction is to support research in areas of scientific interest, to further scientific knowledge, or to achieve a specific research goal.  Our contracting team is here to create, review, negotiate and execute contracts and subawards. We are also available to assist with any questions or concerns.

Below are a few Pre-Award Forms related to contracting/subcontracting.

This page contains a list of the various types of contracts that our contracting team is responsible for reviewing/negotiating on behalf of the University of Miami.

When UM anticipates subcontracting to another entity, the following processes apply to our Principal Investigators/Departmental Personnel.

UM has implemented two initiatives to facilitate successful collaborations and application submission: the ORA Application Submission Policy and the InfoEd PD NIH Electronic Applications Policy. Please visit the Submitting to ORA Pre-Award page to learn more about these policies.
